No. The page listens for keys without cancelling them, so a shortcut still does what the browser expects.

Which keys are drawn?

The number row and the three letter rows. Other keys still update the “last key” line.

Can I test a keyboard that is not typing into a field?

Yes. Focus the page, not a text box, and press the key.
