Expense Splitter
See who owes whom after a shared spend.
Enter each person and what they paid toward one shared bill. Everyone is assumed to owe an equal share. The settle-up is the smallest set of payments that brings the group back to even. It is not a running ledger.
Each share
$100.00 split 3 ways.
Total
$100.00
- Sam pays Alex $13.33
- Jordan pays Alex $33.33
Worked example
Alex paid $80, Sam paid $20, and Jordan paid $0. The bill is $100, so each share is $33.33. Sam pays Alex $13.33 and Jordan pays Alex $33.33 — Alex is made whole.
FAQ
- Is the split always equal?
- Yes. Everyone owes the same share of the total, regardless of who ordered what.
- What if someone should pay more?
- This version does not weight shares. Adjust what you type, or settle the difference outside the page.
- Does it remember last week’s dinner?
- No. It settles the people and amounts on the page, then forgets them.
