FAQ
- What is BMR?
- Basal metabolic rate is the energy your body uses at rest. It doesn't include walking, exercise, or digestion.
- Why does sex change the result?
- The Mifflin–St Jeor equation adds 5 kcal for male and subtracts 161 kcal for female after the weight, height, and age terms.
- How is this different from TDEE?
- BMR is rest only. TDEE multiplies BMR by an activity factor so it estimates a full day.
